Checking and relling levels
Note
Before a long trip, we recommend nding an
engine oil that conforms to the correspond-
ing VW specications and recommend keep-
ing it in the vehicle. This way, the correct en-
gine oil will always be available for a top-up if
needed.

We recommend that you have the engine oil
changed by a Technical Service.
WARNING
Only change the engine oil yourself if you
have the specialist knowledge required!

Wear eye protection to avoid injuries, such
as acid burns, caused by splashes of oil.

12-volt battery
Introduction
The 12volt battery is located in the engine
compartment. Its status is checked and, if nec-
essary, it is replaced as part of maintenance
work.
All work on batteries requires specialist knowl-
edge. Please refer to a specialised CUPRA
Service, SEAT Oicial Service or a workshop
specialising in batteries: risk of burns or ex-
ploding battery!
