of services may also be aected. In particular,
this can occur if the vehicle is to be used in an-
other climatic region for a long period of time.
Due to the dierent frequency bands around
the world, the factory-tted infotainment sys-
tem may not work in another country.
Due to diering legal regulations in place,
charging the high-voltage battery in other
countries may only be permitted at a reduced
charging current. The charging cable limits the
charging current based on the infrastructure
that is used. If the settings are dierent, it is
charged at the lowest value ›››page88.
NOTICE
●
CUPRA cannot be held liable for any dam-
age to the vehicle due to insuicient work or
lack of availability of genuine spare parts.
●
CUPRA accepts no liability if the vehicle
does not meet the legal requirements in
force in other countries and continents, or
if it only partially meets them.
Electric drive system functions.
Delivery of power from the electric engine
The maximum torque of the electric engine is
available immediately after pressing the accel-
erator pedal.
Brake energy recuperation (charging)
When braking the vehicle, electric power
is generated through the electric engine
and stored in the high-voltage battery
›››page149. This also occurs to a lesser
extent when the vehicle moves by inertia or
drives downhill in the deceleration phase.
As the high-voltage battery’s state of charge
increases, recuperation reduces along with the
engine braking eect. When the high-voltage
battery is fully charged, no energy recupera-
tion takes place and the engine braking eect
is not available ›››
.
Recovery can be displayed in the Digital Cock-
pit or on the infotainment system display.
Slow travel function
The slow travel function consists of driving
slowly, at about 5 km/h (3 mph), forward or
reverse without pressing the accelerator pedal.
The slow travel function is activated automati-
cally:
●
When the drive system is on and the gear
selector is in the D/B or R position.
The slow travel function deactivates if:
●
The gear selector is moved to the N position
or the electronic parking brake is engaged.
WARNING
An electric vehicle emits very little noise
when it is in operation, both when stationary
and when driving. This means that other road
users and pedestrians (including children)
may not hear or notice it, or only with dii-
culty. This can lead to accidents and injuries,
e.g. in residential areas, when manoeuvring
or reversing.
WARNING
Any accidental movement of the vehicle
could result in serious injury.
●
When the drive system is engaged and gear
position D/B is selected or reverse gear R is
engaged, the vehicle should be stopped by
pressing the brake pedal.
WARNING
As the state of charge of the high-voltage
battery increases, the engine braking eect
caused by the recuperation of the brake en-
ergy is reduced and may even be completely
cancelled out.
●
Slow down before starting a long distance
with a steep descent.
●
During a long distance with a steep de-
scent, reduce the speed with the vehicle
brake.
