Speed limiter with proac-
tive speed adjustment
Introduction
The speed limiter with proactive speed adjust-
ment automatically adapts a maximum speed
that you have saved to the detected speed lim-
its.
The speed limiter with proactive speed adjust-
ment is an additional function of the speed
limiter and uses the infotainment system’s dy-
namic road sign display and navigation data.
The speed limiter with proactive speed adjust-
ment is available depending on the equipment,
but not in all countries.
WARNING
The smart technology of the speed limiter
with proactive speed adjustment cannot
overcome the limits imposed by the laws of
physics and only works within the limits of
the system. Never allow the greater conven-
ience oered by this function to induce you
to take any risk that compromises safety. Se-
rious accidents and injuries can occur if the
speed limiter with proactive speed adjust-
ment is used carelessly or unintentionally.
The system is not a replacement for driver
awareness.
●
Always adapt your speed to suit visibility,
weather, road and traic conditions.
●
Always pay attention to traic and always
keep the vehicle environment in mind.
●
Always be prepared to adjust the speed
yourself. If the traic sign recognition system
is not working properly or the navigation data
is not updated, the speed may change unex-
pectedly and suddenly or may not be suitable
for the current traic situation. In addition,
the speed adjusted by the system may not
suit your driving style.
●
Always be prepared to adjust the speed
yourself. If you drive without any active gui-
ded route, if you leave the route calculated
by the navigation system or if the position of
the vehicle cannot be determined correctly
because the GPS does not provide accurate
data, the speed may change unexpectedly
and suddenly or may not adapt to the current
traic situation.
●
Always use up to date navigation data.
●
Always take into account the maximum
permitted speed. In the case of speed limita-
tions that are not included in the navigation
data, the maximum permitted speed may be
exceeded.
