In complex driving situations (such as traic
islands, cut-through roundabouts, etc), Front
Assist may issue warnings and intervene in
braking in an unnecessary manner.

Manual activation and deactivation
of the function
Front Assist indicators appear on the instru-
ment panel display.
Front Assist is active whenever the ignition
is switched on. At the time of starting the
ignition, Front Assist may not be available
for a short period of time while the system
starts. During this phase, the instrument clus-
ter screen will display the following indication
.
When Front Assist is disabled, so too are the
advance warning and the distance warning
functions.
CUPRA recommends leaving Front Assist acti-
vated except in the situations explained in sec-
tion page214, Temporarily deactivate Front
Assist.
Switching Front Assist on and o
With the ignition switched on, Front Assist can
be deactivated or activated as follows:

In the infotainment system: press the func-
tion button > Driver assist > Smart Assis-
tants > Front Assist ›››page39.

OR: Select the corresponding menu option
using the button for the assistants systems
›››page194.
The indication will be displayed in the in-
strument cluster when Front Assist is de-
activated.
Each time the ignition is switched on, Front
Assist will reappear as active.
Switching distance warning on and o
The safety distance warning can be activated
or deactivated in the infotainment system us-
ing the function button > Driver assist >
Smart Assistants > Front Assist ›››page39.
Each time the ignition is switched on, the dis-
tance warning will reappear as active.
CUPRA recommends having the safety dis-
tance warning activated except in the excep-
tions described in section page214, Tempo-
rarily deactivate Front Assist.
Activate or deactivate the swerve and turn
assist
The swerve and turn assistance systems can
be activated or deactivated in the infotain-
ment system using the function button >
Driver assist > Smart Assistants > Front Assist
›››page39.
Whenever the ignition is switched on, the
swerve and turn assist will reappear as active.
CUPRA recommends having the swerve and
turn assistance systems activated except in
the exceptions described in section page214,

Temporarily deactivate Front Assist
In the following situations Front Assist should
be deactivated due to the system's limitations:

When the vehicle is to be towed.
●
If the vehicle is on a test bed.
●
If the radar sensor or the front camera is
faulty.
●
If the radar sensor or the front camera has
suered a violent blow.
●
If it intervenes several times unnecessarily.
●
If the radar sensor or the front camera is
temporarily covered by an accessory.
●
When the vehicle is going to be loaded onto
transportation.
●
If the windscreen is damaged in an area that
covers the vision of the front camera.
