Road sign detection system messages:
There are no road signs available

The system is in its start-up phase.
●
OR: the camera has not recognized any
mandatory or prohibitive signs.
Error: Dynamic road sign display
●
There is a fault in the system. Have the sys-
tem checked by a specialised workshop.
Speed warning is currently unavailable
●
The speed warning function of the road sign
detection system is faulty. Have the system
checked by a specialised workshop.
Dynamic road sign display: Clean the wind-
screen!
●
The windscreen is dirty in the camera area
or the camera’s visibility is impaired by weather
conditions. Clean the windscreen.
Dynamic road sign display: Currently restric-
ted
●
The navigation system is not transmitting
data. Check if the navigation system has upda-
ted maps.
●
OR: the vehicle is in a region not included on
the navigation system's map.

●
The traic sign recognition system does not
work in the country you are currently driving in.
Display of
traic signs
After checking and evaluating the information
from the camera, the infotainment system and
actual vehicle data, the system displays up to
two current road signs, and a generic addi-
tional sign:
●
First: The sign that is currently valid for the
driver is displayed on the left hand side of the
screen, e.g. a prohibition of driving at over
130km/h (80mph).
●
Second: Another traic sign, such as a warn-
ing sign, can be displayed in second place.
●
Additional sign: If the windscreen wiper is
operating while driving, the signal with the rain
sub-plate shall be displayed rst on the left-
hand side as it is the main signal at that time.
A sign valid only with restrictions, e.g. no over-
taking at certain times, may be displayed.
The warning sign display is not available in all
countries and the system may not be able to
detect all existing warning signs.
No entry sign
The traic sign recognition system gives a
warning on the instrument cluster when a no
entry sign is passed on a one-way road or an
entrance to a motorway or highway.
WARNING
The technology in the
traic sign detection
system cannot change the limits imposed by
the laws of physics and only works within the
system's limits. The increased convenience
provided by the dynamic road sign display
system should not lead you to take any risks.
The system is not a replacement for driver
awareness.

Adapt your speed and driving style to
suit visibility, weather, road and traic condi-
tions.
●
Poor visibility, darkness, snow, rain and fog
may result in the system not displaying road
signs, or not displaying them correctly.
●
If the camera’s eld of view is dirty, covered
or damaged, the operation of the system may
be aected.

The driving recommendations and
traic in-
dications shown on the traic sign detection
system may dier from the actual current
traic situation.
●
The system cannot recognise or display all
road signs correctly.
●
Traic signs and traic regulations have
priority over the recommendations and dis-
plays provided by the system.
