Move the button

to the required position:
Windscreen wipers o.
Intermittent wiping of the windscreen ac-
tivates the rain sensor. The windshield
is wiped intermittently depending on the
speed of the vehicle or the heaviness of
the rain.
Slow wipe.
Fast wipe.
Button

Short press: activates a wiper sweep.
Long press: switches on windshield wash-
ers and wipers.
The Climatronic switches on air recircula-
tion for approx. 30 seconds to prevent the
smell of windscreen washer uid from en-
tering the vehicle interior.
With the ignition switched o, press
to set the wiper to its service position

Moving the button in direction of
the arrow switches the automatic
rear window washer on. When the
button is released, it returns to the posi-
tion .
WARNING
If insuicient antifreeze is added to the
washer uid, it could freeze on the glass and
impair visibility.

Do not use the wiper system in winter
temperatures without rst heating the wind-
screen with the heating and ventilation sys-
tem. Windscreen washer uid could freeze
on the windscreen and impair forward visibil-
ity.
WARNING
The use of worn or dirty wiper blades reduces
visibility and increases the risk of serious ac-
cidents and injuries.

Replace the wiper blades whenever they
are in poor condition or worn out and
no longer clean the windows suiciently

NOTICE
Before driving o and before switching on
the ignition, check the following aspects of
the wiper blades and the wiper motor to pre-
vent damage to the glass:

The wiper lever is in the neutral position.
●
You have removed or cleared any snow and
ice from the wiper blades and windows.
●
You have carefully removed any wiper
blades that may have frozen from the win-
dow. CUPRA recommends an de-icer spray
for this purpose.
NOTICE
Turn of the wiper before the glass is com-
pletely dry. Using the wipers while dry can
damage the glass.
