Electronic parking brake
The electronic parking brake does not re-
lease.
The 12-volt battery is discharged.

The electronic parking brake makes noises
●
When the electronic parking brake is applied
and released, noises may be heard.
●
The system performs automatic and audi-
ble checks sporadically in the parked vehicle
if some time elapses without the electronic
parking brake being used.
AutoHold function

The Auto Hold function holds the vehicle at a
standstill and prevents it from moving without
it being necessary to keep the brake pedal de-
pressed.
When the Auto Hold function is
switched on, the lamp on the instru-
ment cluster lights up grey.
When the Auto Hold function is active,
the control lamp on the instrument
cluster lights up green.
The control lamp of the
button ›››Fig.148
remains on when the Auto Hold function is
connected.
Requirements
●
If the system has detected the driver’s pres-
ence based on various signals such as: seat-
belt, driver’s door, driver’s seat occupied and
others.
●
The engine is running.
Connecting and disconnecting
Press the Auto Hold button ››› . The control
lamp on the button turns on when the Auto
Hold function is switched on. The function is
now available to be activated. The lamp on the
button goes out when the Auto Hold function
is switched o.
Switching on and o automatically
If the Auto Hold function was switched on with
the Auto Hold button before disengaging the
ignition, the function will remain on after the
ignition is re-engaged.
If the Auto Hold function was not switched
on, it will remain o next time the ignition is
switched on.
The Auto Hold function is automatically turned
o if the following conditions are met:
1. If any of the requirements of the function
are no longer met.
2. If the engine runs erratically or has any
anomaly.
3. If the engine stalls.
4. Automatic gearbox: If any of the tyres have
only minimal contact with the ground, e.g.
For example, if the axles are crossed.
The Auto Hold function is temporarily switched
o while the user pulls the electronic parking
brake button .
Activation and deactivation
The Auto Hold function activates automatically
if the following conditions are met (all points
must be met at the same time):
1. The function is switched on
2. The vehicle is brought to a complete
standstill with the brake pedal on a at sur-
face or on a slope.
3.
The engine rotates “correctly”.
The Auto Hold function deactivates automati-
cally if the following conditions are met:
1. The car moves o again:
