Installation:
The installation process for the VM-1 Voltmeter is straightforward and involves a few key steps:
- Disassembly: Begin by unsnapping the four tabs that secure the display to the mounting plate. This is done by pressing the tabs toward the display while simultaneously lifting the display away from the mounting plate.
- Mounting Plate Preparation: Use the mounting plate as a template. Place the flat surface of the mounting plate against the desired flat mounting surface on your vehicle. Mark the locations for the two screw holes and the rectangular slot for the wiring.
- Drilling: Drill the two screw holes using a 3/32" drill bit. Drill the hole for the wires using a 3/16" drill bit.
- Mounting the Plate: The mounting plate must be mounted on a flat surface. Failure to do so can cause distortion of the plate, which will prevent the face from snapping on properly. If a flat surface is not available, the plate can be mounted using a high-quality automotive-grade tape, such as VHB tape by 3M™.
- Connecting the Display: Bring the display toward the mounted plate. Pass the wires through the 3/16" hole that was drilled for wiring. Once the wires are through, snap the display onto the mounting plate.
Electrical Connections:
The VM-1 Voltmeter requires three electrical connections:
- Voltage Sense Wire: RED
- Turn On Trigger: White
- Ground: BLACK
The D'Amore Engineering VM-1 Voltmeter comes with a limited warranty.
- Warranty Period: D'Amore Engineering warrants this product to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of original purchase.
- Transferability: The warranty is not transferable and applies only to the original purchaser from an authorized D'Amore Engineering dealer.
- Coverage: Should service be necessary due to a manufacturing defect or malfunction, D'Amore Engineering will, at its discretion, repair or replace the defective product with a new or remanufactured product at no charge.
- Exclusions: The warranty does not apply to misuse, abuse, neglect, accident, improper use, product modification, unauthorized repair attempts, or misrepresentations by the seller. It also does not cover incidental or consequential damages, nor cosmetic damage due to accident or normal wear and tear.
- Implied Warranties: Any applicable implied warranties are limited in duration to one year from the date of original purchase. No warranties will apply to the product thereafter. Some states may not allow limitations on implied warranties, so these exclusions may not apply to all purchasers. This warranty provides specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary by state.
