Limited IP Multicast Range Settings
The Limited IP Multicast Range window allows the user to specify which multicast address(es) reports are to be received on
specified ports on the switch. This function will therefore limit the number of reports received and the number of multicast groups
configured on the switch. The user may set an IP address or range of IP addresses to accept reports (Permit) or deny reports
(Deny) coming into the specified switch ports. Click Configuration > Limited IP Multicast Range to open the Limited IP
Multicast Range window shown below:

To configure Limited IP Multicast Range:
1. Choose the port or sequential range of ports using the From…To… port pull-down menus.
2. Use the remaining pull-down menus to configure the parameters described below:
Parameter Description
State
Toggle the State field to either Enabled or Disabled a given port or group of ports where
access is to be either permitted or denied.
From Multicast IP
Enter the lowest multicast IP address of the range.
To Multicast IP
Enter the highest multicast IP address of the range.
Access
Toggle the Access field to either Permit or Deny to limit or grant access to a specified range
of Multicast addresses on a particular port or range of ports.
Click Apply to implement the new settings on the Switch.
