config snmp engineID
Purpose
To configure a name for the SNMP engine on the Switch.
Syntax
config snmp engineID <snmp_engineID 64>
Description
The config snmp engineID command configures a name for the
SNMP engine on the Switch.
Parameters
<snmp_engineID 64> − A string, of between 10 and 64
alphanumeric characters, to be used to identify the SNMP engine on
the Switch.
Restrictions
Only administrator or operate-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To give the SNMP agent on the Switch:
DGS-1100-06/ME:5#config snmp engineID 12345678900
Command: config snmp engineID 12345678900
Success!

create snmp group
Purpose
To create a new SNMP group, or a table that maps SNMP users to
SNMP views.
Syntax
create snmp group <groupname 32> [v1 | v2c | v3
[noauth_nopriv | auth_nopriv | auth_priv]{notify_view
<view_name 32>}] {read_view <view_name 32> | write_view
<view_name 32>}
Description
The create snmp group command creates a new SNMP group, or
a table that maps SNMP users to SNMP views.
Parameters
<groupname 32> − A name of up to 30 alphanumeric characters that
identifies the SNMP group the new SNMP user is to be associated
with.
v1 Specifies that SNMP version 1 is to be used. The Simple
Network Management Protocol (SNMP), version 1, is a network
