ic gearboxes:
Keep the vehicle stationary without
pressing too hard on the brake pedal.
For vehicles equipped with manual
gearboxes:
Keep the clutch pedal pressed right
down.
Tofillupwithfuel,theen
gine must be off (and not
only on standby in the case
of vehicles equipped with the
Stop and Start function): you must
switch off the ignition 🡺149,
🡺151.

For vehicles equipped with automat
ic gearboxes:
– when the driver's door is opened;
or
– whenthedriver'sseatbeltisunfas
tened;
or
– when the brake pedal is released, D
position is engaged;
or
– when the brake pedal is released, N
position is engaged and the parking
brake is released;
or
– when the brake pedal is pressed
again, P position is engaged or Nposi
tion is engaged with the parking brake
applied 🡺159;
or
– the accelerator pedal is pressed;
or
– when R position is engaged;
or
– when, depending on the vehicle, the
gear paddles are used in manual
mode (M).
For vehicles equipped with manual
gearboxes:
– whenopeningthedriver'sdoor,with
out any gear engaged and the clutch
pedal released;
or
– when unfastening the driver's seat
belt, without any gear engaged and the
clutch pedal released;
or
– the gearbox is in neutral position and
the clutch pedal is slightly pressed;
or
– the engine is in gear and the clutch
pedal is pressed right down.
Special note: Dependingonthevehi
cle, if you switch off the ignition when
the engine is on standby, the
warning light may be displayed for a
few seconds on the instrument panel.
