PROBLEM Solution
When pressing
the on/off button,
nothing appears on
the screen.
• The batteries have
expired.
• The polarity with which
the batteries were placed
is not correct.
• The batteries are not
making proper contact.
• Change the batteries with
new ones.
• Insert the batteries pro-
perly.
• Wipe the cavity where
the batteries sit with a dry
cloth.
The pressure exerted
by the cuff is not
constant.

Stay still and silent during
the reading.
The reading is extre-
mely high or low.
• Is the cuff at the same
height as the heart?
• Is the cuff placed
properly?
• Have you remained

• Make sure your posture is
correct during the reading.
• Position the cuff properly
(Fig. 1)
• Stay still and silent during
the reading.
The pulse reading is
too high or too low.
• Have you remained
stationary during this

• Have you taken the
reading just after doing
physical exercise?
• Keep still and silent
during the reading.
• Take the reading again
after 5 minutes of rest.
The batteries expire
quickly.
The batteries are faulty. Use alkaline batteries from
well-known manufacturers.

• Weak signal or pressure
has suddenly changed.
• An error has taken
place during inflation.
• Ensure that the cuff is
well positioned and the air
tube properly fitted. Repeat
the reading.
