Network Monitors
Network Monitors congures the monitoring system for the network. Monitors are used
in conjunction with power control relays and attempt a recovery if a device becomes
unresponsive on the network. The power control relays must be congured under
the Peripherals menu before setting up the network monitors. Refer to Power Control
(p.30).
Network monitors ping the player to determine why the display is not working, possibly
eliminating the need for a service call. Refer to Figure 63.

To congure network monitors, follow these steps:
1. Click Add Monitor to open the Monitor window.
2. Type a descriptive name in the Name eld.
3. Type the host address in the Host eld.
4. Enter how often the monitor will check the network in minutes (1 to 60) in the
Frequency eld.
5. Type the number of times the system will receive a failure message before an action
is taken in the Failure Threshold eld.
6. Type the number of times the system will receive a failure message before the action
is stopped in the Stop Threshold eld.
7. Choose the desired power control relay from the Relay drop-down list.
8. Click Save at the top of the screen to save the changes.
