Z5007 1220/1222 Frame
The 1220/1222 Frame enables 1220/1222 loudspeakers to be set up
and aligned to different horizontal and vertical angles.
The inner frame is bolted to the two M10 threaded inserts on the
bottom of the 1220/1222 cabinet. Fitted with an 1220/1222 Stand
adapter (Z5008) the outer frame of the complete assembly can then
be placed on top of a loudspeaker stand with a 35 mm diameter
column. To fly the loudspeaker, a Z5010 TV spigot with fixing plate
can be bolted to the frame in place of the Stand adapter.
The centre of gravity of an 1220/1222 loudspeaker lies in line with
the frames axis of rotation. This prevents the vertical flying angle
setting from limiting freedom of movement by creating a twisting
force on the mounting support - an essential requirement for stable
flying. The frame is locked in place using the two handbolts provided.
Load safety information
The 1220/1222 Frame may only be used to support the weight of a
single 1220/1222 loudspeaker. Secondary safeties must always be
provided and used when flying loudspeaker loads.
Assembly
The 1220/1222 Frame is supplied with a single M10x35 [1]
countersink screw, plain washer and a self-locking M10 nut. These
are used to bolt the cabinet fixing plate [2] to the inner frame (tool
required: 6 mm Allen key).
The cabinet fixing plate and inner frame are bolted to the threaded
inserts in the bottom of the loudspeaker cabinet using two M10x40
[3] wing bolts and 30 mm plain washers.
In the middle section of the outer frame are two holes for M10 bolts
spaced to match the mounting hole pattern of the 1220/1222 Stand
adapter (Z5008) and TV spigot fixing plates. Alternatively, eyebolts
may be fitted for flying.
Fixing screws or bolts longer than those supplied must not be used.
Longer screws and bolts can punch in the F1220/1222 threaded
inserts and breach the cabinets air-tight seal.
