Place an empty bowl on the base of the unit. This bowl will be used to
collect the shaved ice. Insert the Ice Guard to help the ice shavings go more
directly into the bowl. To insert, slide the Ice Guard into place so that the
notches on the Ice Guard and the Exterior Bowl align (photo C).

To activate the machine, turn the lid counter clockwise until the n-shaped
notch activates the Safety Switch (photo D). To stop the shaving process,
turn the lid clockwise to deactivate the Safety Switch. For optimal results,
hold onto the lid during the shaving process to ensure all ice is shaved.
Unplug the Dash Shaved Ice Maker after each use.
