See the humidifier manufacturer’s instructions is included with the paperwork placed inside the unit
when it ships for:
• Further information regarding removing the humidifier cylinder.
• Drain valve cleaning
• Installing the new cylinder
• Preparing humidifier for extended shutdown duration
• Starting humidifier after an extended shutdown
Coil Drain Pan
• To ensure proper drainage, inspect the drain pan regularly.
• Make sure the drain pan outlet is always free of debris and ensure the drain pan does not
leak.
• Check and clean P-trap, as needed for proper operation and leaks.
• Clean out drain pan as needed.
Condensate Pump
• The condensate pump should be inspected semiannually and cleaned.
• Wipe the float with a wet cloth and detergent to remove dirt.
• Clean the tank bottom.
• Remove sump and clean with a stiff nylon brush and flush with water.
• Check that the discharge line is clear, and water can pass through it freely.
• Check and clear obstructions in gravity lines leading to condensate pump.
• Check operation of float(s) (i.e., free movement).
• Inspect and clear clogs in discharge check valve and float mechanism.
• Reassemble and check for leaks.
Cabinet
• Inspect for moisture or any sign of wetness or dripping that should be contained by the
condensate drain pan. Look for any moisture or signs of previous wetness or dripping inside
the cabinet.
• Look for and replace damaged insulating material.
• Check door and panel gasket for wear or damage. Repair or replace, as needed.
• Check door hinges for operational. Repair as needed.
• Check structural members. Contact our Service Department for any structural damage.
Exterior Cabinet Maintenance Cleaning
• Use a dense sponge or a cloth and then wipe with water.
• Dry with a soft cloth.
• Be careful not to scratch the surface while cleaning.
• Do not use a hard brush, bristles or similar device to clean the exterior.
