ACK NAK Retry Count
This feature specifies the number of times the reader retries a label trans-
mission due to a retry condition. The selectable range is from 1 to 254
retries. A selection of
0 disables the count, and a selection of 255 specifies
unlimited retries.
To set this feature:
1. Determine the desired setting.
2. Pad the number with leading zeros to yield three digits. For example: 0
= 000
, 5 = 005
, 20 = 020, etc.
3. Go to page 26 and scan the ENTER/EXIT PROGRAMMING MODE bar code
to enter Programming Mode.
4. Scan the bar code: SELECT ACK NAK RETRY COUNT SETT
ING.
5. Scan the appropriate three digits from the keypad in Appendix D, Keypad,
that represent the number which was determin
ed in the steps above.
You will hear a two-beep indication after the last character.
If you make a mistake before the last character, scan the CANCEL bar
code to abort and not save the entry string. You can then start again
at the beginning.
6. Scan the ENTER/EXIT PROGRAMMING MODE bar code to exit Program-
ming Mode.
See Table 29 for some examples of how to set this feature.
