Under no circumstances should abrasive cleansers, abrasive pads, caustic solutions or other
harsh chemicals, including those listed below, be used on any part of the scanner as they
can cause damage which will adversely affect scanning performance. Use of such materials,
either alone or in combination with other cleaning agents, will void the manufacturer's
warranty.
