RS-232 Intercharacter Delay
Specifies delay between the end of one character and the beginning of the next in 10-
millisecond increments.
To set the RS-232 Intercharacter Delay:
1. Scan the Enter/Exit Programming Mode bar code.
2. Scan the bar code below,
Set RS-232 Intercharacter Delay. You’ll need to cover any
unused bar codes on this and the facing page to ensure that the scanner reads only the bar
code y
ou intend to scan.
3. Scan the appropriate digits from the
Keypad in Appendix C that represent the desired
delay. The selectable range is 0-100, which
is the delay in 10-millisecond increments. Pad
all single and double digit numbers with leading zeroes to yield a three-digit entry (000-
100).
Examples:
001 = 10ms
005 = 50ms
040 = 400ms
100 = 1,000ms (1 second)
4. The scanner will automatically exit Programming Mode when the appropriate amount of
digits have been scan
ned.
