Please Keep In Mind...
• Modifying a message string is not a mandatory requirement. Data editing is a sophisti-
cated feature allowing highly customizable output for adv
anced users. Factory default set-
tings for data editing is typically set to NONE.
• A prefix or suffix may be applied (reference the
1D Symbology Programming or 2D Sym-
bology Programming
chapter for these settings) across all symbologies (set via the Global
features in this chapter).
• You can add any character from the
ASCII Character Set (from 00-7F) on the inside back
cover of this manual as a prefix, suffix or Label ID.
• Enter prefixes and suffixes in the order in which
you want them to appear on the output.
Case Conversion
This option can change the case of all alphabetic characters to upper or lower case.
To set this feature:
1. Scan the Enter/Exit Programming Mode bar code.
2. Scan bar code for the desired option below. Y
ou’ll need to cover any unused bar codes on
this and the facing page to ensure that the scanner reads only the bar code you intend to
scan.
3. Complete the programming sequence by scanning the
Enter/Exit Programming Mode bar
code.
