This document serves as the product manual for a DEERC RC Helicopter, providing comprehensive instructions for its operation, maintenance, and safety. The helicopter is designed for remote control flying, offering an engaging experience for users.

Function Description

The DEERC RC Helicopter is a remote-controlled flying device equipped with a balancing rod, top and lower propellers, and a tail propeller for stable flight. It features a power switch for activation and a rechargeable battery for sustained operation. The helicopter is controlled via a dedicated remote control unit, which allows for various flight maneuvers and adjustments.

The remote control unit is equipped with several key functions to facilitate intuitive flight. It includes a power switch for the remote itself, a left trim and right trim for fine-tuning stability, and a power indicator to show battery status. The main control sticks enable ascending, descending, moving forward, reversing, and rotating left or right. Additionally, there are dedicated buttons for one-press take-off and landing, as well as an emergency stop function for immediate cessation of flight. The remote also features a lights on/off switch for the helicopter's power indicator and a speed switch to adjust flight speed.

Usage Features

To begin using the helicopter, users must first ensure that batteries are correctly installed in both the helicopter and the remote control. The remote control requires three 1.5V AAA batteries (not included), which are inserted into a compartment secured by a screw. The helicopter's battery is a 3.7V Polymer Li-ion battery, which slides into a compartment at the bottom of the helicopter.

Pairing the helicopter with the remote control is a straightforward process. After inserting batteries, the user turns on the helicopter's power switch, observing a rapidly flashing power indicator. The helicopter should be kept on a level surface and not held during this step. Next, the remote control's power switch is turned on, which will emit a "Di" sound and cause its power indicator to flash. To complete pairing, the left joystick on the remote is pushed up and then down. A second "Di" sound will confirm successful pairing, and both the remote and helicopter power indicators will turn solid.

Once paired, the helicopter can be easily taken off and landed. A single press of the "Take Off" button will cause the helicopter to ascend and hover at approximately one meter altitude. For landing, a single press of the "Landing" button will bring the helicopter gently back to the ground. In case of an emergency during flight, pressing and holding the "Landing" button will initiate an immediate crash.

Flight control is managed through the joysticks on the remote. Pushing the left joystick forward will make the helicopter ascend, while pulling it backward will make it descend. The right joystick controls horizontal movement: pushing it forward moves the helicopter forward, pulling it backward moves it in reverse, pushing it left rotates the helicopter left, and pushing it right rotates it right.

The helicopter also offers adjustable speed settings and lighting. The "Lights on/off" button on the remote allows users to toggle the helicopter's power indicator lights. The "Speed switch" button enables switching between fast and slow flight speeds. A "Di Di" sound indicates fast speed, while a single "Di" sound indicates slow speed.

For precise flight stability, the remote control includes a trimmer function. If the helicopter drifts or rotates to the right without input, the "Left trim" button can be pressed repeatedly until the rotation stops. Conversely, if the helicopter rotates to the left, the "Right trim" button is used to correct the drift.

Maintenance Features

Proper maintenance is crucial for the longevity and safe operation of the DEERC RC Helicopter. Battery care is a primary focus. When the helicopter's power indicator flashes, it signifies low battery, prompting the user to stop flying, power down, and remove the battery for charging. The helicopter's battery is charged using the provided USB charging cable. This cable can be plugged into a computer USB port, a power bank, or a USB adapter (5V @ 0.5-2.0A). Charging takes approximately 60 minutes, with a red indicator light on the USB cable turning on during charging and off when fully charged.

Users are advised to keep the battery in sight while charging and to avoid placing it on flammable surfaces. If the battery pack or USB charging cable shows any signs of damage, usage should cease immediately, and replacements should be acquired. For the remote control, if it will not be used for an extended period, the batteries should be removed to prevent leakage and damage. Similarly, the helicopter's battery should be removed if it's not going to be used for a long time.

The manual also provides troubleshooting tips for common issues. If the remote control is not working, users should check if batteries are installed correctly or if they need replacement. If the helicopter is out of control, both the helicopter and remote should be rebooted and re-paired. Flying in strong winds can also lead to loss of control, so it's recommended to avoid such conditions. If the helicopter's speed is too slow or it cannot ascend, the left joystick should be pushed up, or the helicopter's battery may be low and require charging.

General warnings emphasize the importance of adult supervision, especially during assembly and charging. Packing materials should be promptly put away to prevent harm to children. The helicopter should not be operated in wet conditions or near water, as this can cause malfunctions. Users should avoid touching rotating parts to prevent injury, and due to small parts, there's a risk of ingestion or suffocation for young children. Regular checks of the charging USB cable, plug, housing, and other components are recommended, with immediate unplugging if damage is found. Only the factory-configured USB cable should be used for charging.

Battery safety is extensively detailed. Non-rechargeable batteries cannot be recharged, and rechargeable batteries require adult supervision during charging and must be removed from the toy beforehand. Mixing old and new batteries or different types of batteries is prohibited. Batteries must be inserted with the correct polarity, and supply terminals should be protected from short circuits. The battery should never be short-circuited, disassembled, modified, impacted, crushed, punctured, dropped from a height, or thrown into fire. Prolonged exposure to sunlight should be avoided, and the battery should be stored at temperatures below 30°C, away from heat, high temperatures, or humidity. If the battery emits a foul smell, becomes hot, deformed, discolored, or shows any other abnormality, usage should stop immediately. After use, the helicopter's battery should be allowed to cool for about 30 minutes before recharging. Drained batteries should be removed promptly.

The manual also includes FCC and IC notices, highlighting compliance with regulatory standards and providing guidelines for avoiding harmful interference. It also reiterates RF exposure statements, advising a minimum distance of 20cm between the radiator and the user's body.
