UtensilandCookwareGuide:
1. Glass or Pyrex dishes allow energy to pass through the utensil and heat the food.
2. Microwaves cannot penetrate metal, so don’t use metal dishes or utenils. Neither
use any dish which has metallic decorations or gold-foiled patterns.
3. Do not use recycled paper products when microwave cooking as these may
contain small metal fragments which may cause sparks and/or res.
4. Use round or oval dishes rather than square or oblong ones as food in corners
tends to overcook.
5. Narrow strips of aluminium foil may be used to prevent overcooking of exposed
areas (on drum stick ends and such) but keep a distance of at least 1 inch (2.54cm)
between the foil and the cavity to prevent arcing.
