Next steps
1. If required, re-connect the cables to the expansion card.
2. Follow the procedure listed in After working inside your system on page 47.
3. Install any device drivers required for the card as described in the documentation for the card.
Removing expansion card from the expansion card riser
Prerequisites
1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions on page 46.
2. Follow the procedure listed in the Before working inside your system on page 47.
3. If applicable, disconnect the cables from the expansion card.
4. Remove the expansion card riser.
Steps
1. Pull and lift the expansion card retention latch lock to open.
2. Pull the black card holder before removing the card from the riser.
3. Hold the expansion card by the edges. and pull the card until the card edge connector disengages from the expansion card connector
on the riser.
