Removing a cooling fan
Prerequisites
1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions on page 46.
2. Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system on page 47.
3. If installed, remove the air shroud.
Steps
Press the orange release tab and lift the cooling fan to disconnect the fan from the connector on the system board.
NOTE: The procedure to remove standard, high-performance, or very high-performance fan is same.
WARNING: Ensure not to tilt or rotate the cooling fan while removing from the system.
