Actions:
If the Ops panel Module Fault LED is on, check the module LEDs on the enclosure rear panel to narrow the fault to a CRU, a
connection, or both.
Check the event log for specific information regarding the fault, and follow any Recommended Actions.
If installing a controller module or IOM CRU:
Remove and reinstall the controller module or IOM per the Dell EMC PowerVault ME4 Series Storage System Owner’s Manual.
Check the event log for errors.
If the CRU Fault LED is on, a fault condition is detected.
Restart this controller from the partner controller using the ME Storage Manager or CLI.
If the restart does not resolve the fault, remove the controller module or IOM and reinsert it.
If the previous actions do not resolve the fault, contact Dell EMC for assistance.
Disk drive carrier module LEDs
A green LED and amber LED mounted on the front of each drive carrier module display the disk drive status.
In normal operation, the green LED is on and flickers as the drive operates.
In normal operation, the amber LED is:
Off if there is no drive present.
Off as the drive operates.
On if there is a drive fault.

5U enclosure LEDs
Use the LEDs on the 5U enclosure to help troubleshoot initial start-up problems.
NOTE:
When the 5U84 enclosure is powered on, all LEDs are lit for a short period to ensure that they are working. This
behavior does not indicate a fault unless LEDs remain lit after several seconds.
