Installing the side wall bracket
Prerequisites
1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions on page 23.
2. Follow the procedure listed in the Before working inside your system on page 24.
3. Remove the middle top cover.
4. Remove the GPU air shroud.
5. If installed, remove the air shroud.
6. Remove the cooling fan assembly.
NOTE:
Ensure that you note the routing of the cables as you remove them from the system board. Route the cable
properly when you replace it to prevent the cable from being pinched or crimped.
Steps
1. With the side wall bracket open, align the side wall bracket with the tabs on the chassis.
NOTE: The procedure is same for both the side wall brackets.
2. Press the side wall bracket down until the bracket firmly clicks into place.
NOTE: Route the cables through the side wall bracket.
3. Close the side wall bracket cover until the cover firmly clicks into place.
