Locating the Service Tag and Express-Service Code
You can locate the Service Tag and the Express-Service Code of your computer either on the label on the computer, or using the using the Dell's online
System Profiler.
Locating the Label on Your Computer
The Service Tag and the Express-Service Code is located on a label on your computer. The location on the label is:
Portable computers: Bottom of the portable computer
Desktop computer: Back or top of the computer chassis
Using Dell's Online System Profiler
If your computer is powered on and you have access to the Internet, you can use Dell's online System Profiler to scan for the Service Tag and Express-
Service code. To scan for the Service Tag follow the steps below:
Go to support.dell.com.
Click System Configuration.
Click Find My Service Tag and follow the instructions on the screen.
