Removing the 3-cell battery
Prerequisites
1. Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
2. Remove the microSD card.
3. Remove the microSIM card.
4. Remove the base cover.
NOTE: If battery is disconnected from system board for service, then there is a delay during system boot-up as the system
undergoes RTC battery reset.
About this task

Steps
1. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board, if it was not disconnected earlier.
2. Remove the three (M2x5) screws that secure the battery to the palm-rest assembly.
3. Lift the battery off the palm-rest assembly.
