Steps
1. Align and place the left microphone into the slot on the display back cover.
2. Connect the left microphone module FPC to the connector on the system board.
3. Place the system board shield on the system board and gently press until it snaps it into place.

Removing the front-facing camera
Prerequisites
1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
2. Remove the SIM tray
3. Remove the display assembly.
4. Remove the microphone modules.
About this task
The following images indicate the location of the front-facing camera module and provide a visual representation of the removal
procedure.
Steps
1. Using a plastic scribe, gently pry off the left and right side of the front-facing module.
2. Lift the front-facing camera out of the system.
NOTE:
If the thermal pad located under the front-facing camera gets detached from the back cover, re-adhere it to the
back cover.
