Re-imaging the Dell OptiPlex 7440 computer
Introduction This topic describes how to re-image the Dell OptiPlex 7440
computer. Re-imaging will remove all software on the computer
and re-install the factory default Microsoft® Windows® operating
system. In the event that your computer fails or becomes
corrupted, use these instructions to re-image it.
Before you begin Be sure to back up data files and personal information before
re-imaging the computer.
If applicable, make note
of the network settings.
Re-imaging the
computer
To re-image the computer:
1. Turn on the OptiPlex computer.
The system boots to the windows boot manager. You have
30
seconds to select either Windows 7 or Recovery.
2. Select
Recovery to re-image the computer
.
Note: If you do not make a selection within 30 seconds, the
system will automatically boo
t to Windows 7.
