1030 Routing Information Protocol Commands
Syntax
split-horizon {none | simple | poison}
no split-horizon
• none — RIP does not use split horizon to avoid routing loops.
• simple — RIP uses split horizon to avoid routing loops.
• poison — RIP uses split horizon with poison reverse (increases routing
packet update size).
Default Configuration
Simple is the default configuration.
Command Mode
Router RIP Configuration mode.
User Guidelines
This command has no user guidelines.
Example
The following example does not use split horizon.
