This topic provides specic information about the system jumpers. It also provides some basic information about jumpers and switches and
describes the connectors on the various boards in the system. Jumpers on the system board help to disable system and setup passwords.

Jumper Setting Description
PWRD_EN The password reset feature is enabled (pins 2–4).
The password reset feature is disabled (pins 4–6). The iDRAC local
access is unlocked at the next AC power cycle.
NVRAM_CLR The conguration settings are retained at the next system boot
(pins 3–5).
The conguration settings are cleared at system boot (pins 1–3).
