Connecting the enclosure
This section describes how to connect the PowerVault MD2460 enclosure to the host system and to the power source.
Before connecting the cables, ensure that all modules are firmly seated in their correct slots.

To connect the enclosure to a host system:
Steps
1. Turn off the host system and all attached storage devices.
2. Connect one end of the Mini-SAS HD cable to the enclosure EMM and other end to the RAID controller or HBA on the host
system. Push the cable into the connector until it clicks into place.
NOTE:
Connectors on both ends of the SAS cable are universally keyed. You can connect either end of the cable to the
enclosure or the host system.

3. Gently route the SAS cables through the CMAs without excess bending.
The cables on the left route through the upper CMA, and the cables on the right route through the lower CMA.
