1. Set temperature lever full cold
2. Set selector lever Norm. A/C.
3. Set blower switch on high.
4. Open doors and hood.
5. Warm engine.
6. Run engine at idle.
Feel for air flow at heater and A/C
outlets.
AIH FLOW FROM
A/C OUTLETS ONLY
, SOME OR ALL AIR FLOW
FROM HEATER OUTLET
Repair as per Service
Manual.
Check visually for
compressor clutch
operation.
ENGAGED OR
CYCLING
MPRESSOR OFF
Proceed to

Feel liquid tine in
front of expansion
tube.
Feel evaporator
inlet and outlet
pipes.
Restriction in high
side of system.
Visually check (or
frost spot to locate
restriction. Repair,
evacuate, and
re-charge.

INSTALL
THERMOMETER
Leak check system
and repair leak. If no
leak is found, check
expansion tube for
plugged filter.
Evacuate and re-charge.
Re-check inlet and
outlet pipe
temperature.
PIPES STILL .
COLD AND WARM'
Replace expansion
tube, evacuate and
re-charge.
