Overview

This document is an instruction manual for the Hercules Wagon Stroller (model 62004) manufactured by Delta Children. It provides comprehensive information on assembly, usage, safety warnings, care, maintenance, and warranty details for the product.

Function Description

The Hercules Wagon Stroller is designed as a double occupant stroller wagon, primarily for transporting two children. It functions as a versatile mobility device, offering features for comfortable and safe transport, including a canopy for sun protection, a child tray, and cup holders. The wagon is also designed for portability, with a folding mechanism for storage.

Important Technical Specifications

  • Occupancy: Double occupant stroller wagon, for two children only.
  • Maximum Weight Capacity: 110 lbs (combined weight of children).
  • Child Weight/Height Limit: Not for use with children weighing more than 55 pounds (24.92 kg) or over 42 inches (106.7 cm) tall, as this may cause an unstable condition.
  • Minimum Age Recommendation: 6 months of age at minimum for wagon use. With the use of an infant car seat adapter (not explicitly shown as included, but mentioned in warnings), the minimum age is newborn and up.
  • Parts Included:
    • Front Wheel (x2) (Lock & Swivel)
    • Child Tray
    • Wagon Pad
    • Fabric Liner (pre-assembled to the wagon)
    • Canopy
    • Wagon Frame
    • Cup Holder (x2)

Usage Features

Assembly:

  • Unfolding Wagon: Unlatch the wagon by pulling the latch away from the latch post, then allow it to unfold or manually pull it apart. The fabric liner comes pre-assembled.
  • Locking Handle: Once fully opened, press down on the handle until the center handle joint is in a fully locked position.
  • Inserting Wagon Pad: Open the wagon pad with buckles facing upward and insert it into the wagon. Ensure the center handle joint is locked before inserting the pad.
  • Attaching Child Tray: Locate the child tray and insert one side to the wagon nubs, then repeat on the opposite side to fasten it in place.
  • Attaching Canopy: Align each of the four canopy rods with their corresponding posts and firmly insert them into their housing.
  • Attaching Cup Holder: Align the clip on the cup holder with the frame post and apply downward pressure until it "SNAPS" into place.

Setup and Use:

  • Adjusting Handlebars: Press both buttons on the inner side of the handlebar, then rotate the handle up or down to the desired position. The buttons will "CLICK" when locked. Confirm both buttons are depressed and handlebars are locked before use.
  • Front Wheel Brake Lock: Apply light downward pressure to the brake lever on the front wheel housing to engage the brakes. Gently lift the lever to release. Always lock brakes when the wagon is not being pushed or parked, and when adding/removing children.
  • Clearing Wagon Over Sidewalks and Curbs: Lift the rear wheels using the rear handlebars and pull the wagon over the sidewalk or curb from a backwards position. Do not push down on rear handlebars to lift front wheels.
  • Using Sunshade: Locate the sunshade in the storage compartment underneath the canopy. Unfasten the toggle and loop, roll down the sunshade, and secure it around the wagon frame using the toggle and loop.
  • Securing Child: Place the child in the stroller, position the crotch belt between their legs, pull shoulder straps over arms and shoulders, and fasten both strap ends to the restraint system. Fasten both waist belts to the buckle on each side of the crotch belt, ensuring a "click." Check that the restraint system is securely attached.
  • Tightening/Loosening Restraint System: To tighten, feed the anchored end of a waist belt up through the buckle to form a loop, then pull the free end. Repeat for other belts. To loosen, feed the free end up through the buckle to form a loop, enlarge the loop by pulling on the end toward the buckle, then pull the anchored end to shorten the free end. Ensure the system is securely fastened after adjustment.

Folding for Storage:

  • Removing Canopy: While pressing the release tab, pull up on each rod until it clears the wagon frame. The canopy can be stored in the front storage pocket.
  • Adjust Handle Upward: Press both buttons on the inner side of the handlebar and lift the handle upward until it is in a fully upright position.
  • Detaching Child Tray: Locate the child tray and remove the flap from the two nubs on the side of the wagon. Repeat on the opposite side.
  • Removing Wagon Pad: Unbuckle the harness from the pad on both sides and remove it from the wagon. The wagon pad can be stored in the front storage pocket.
  • Unlocking Handle: Press the button on the center side of the handlebar until the center handle is facing down.
  • Folding Wagon: Locate the loop inside the wagon and pull upward until the wagon starts to fold.
  • Locking Wagon: When fully folded, locate the latch on the side of the wagon and lock it onto the peg.

Maintenance Features

  • Cleaning: Use a mild household soap with warm water on a sponge or clean cloth to clean the wagon.
  • Regular Checks: Regularly check the wagon for loose screws, worn parts, torn material, or stitching. Replace or repair parts as needed.
  • Discontinuation of Use: Discontinue use if the wagon becomes damaged or malfunctions.
  • Customer Support: Contact the Customer Experience Center via email at gcs@DeltaChildren.com for repair, replacement parts, assembly difficulties, missing parts, or usage issues. Do not return the item to the store.
