NOTE: Before starting recording
The Cassette Deck is equipped with Auto Reverse function, so that
thetape running direction is changed automatically during recording.
Notice the followings before starting recording.
* Whenyou start recording in forward direction ( B> }, the cassette
deck automatically records both sides of a tape. If you have an
important data on either side of the tape, take off the safety tab
of that side to prevent from erasing the data.
* When you start recording in reverse direction ( <@) the cassette
deck records only one side of a tape.
Set the TAPE 1 in stop mode when recording from sound
sources otherthan TAPE, orelse TAPE 2willrecordthe sound from
TAPE 1.
BASIC OPERATION
Turning the set on
1. Press [ POWER ] on the remote control or [ POWER ON/
STANDBY J on the front panel.
Loading a tape in TAPE 2
2-a. For recording onto both sides of a tape: Press { P J on the
remote control or [C> ] on the front panet to select forward play.
Then insert a cassette tape so that the Side A faces toward you.
2-b. For recording onto'one side of a tape: Press [ <€ ] on the
remote control or [ <] Jon the front panel to select reverse play.
Then insert a cassette tape so that the side you want to record
onto faces toward the set.
TIP: The Auto Tape Selector automatically detects your tape-type
(Normal or CrO2) and selects the best position for playback and
recording,
Setting the Dobby Noise Reduction selector
~ 3. Set] DOLBYNR sm ONL OFF ]to ONor OFF maichingto your
preference.
Prepare the sound source for recording (TUNER, CD or AUX)
See p14 for TUNER, p18 for CD and p34 for AUX.
To start recording
4. Press [ @/H] on the remote contro! or [REC/PAUSE] on
the front panel to stand by recording. Then the recording
indicator “@” blinks. Press the same button again to start
recording.
NOTES:
* If beat noise is audible before recording, switch the RIF
selector on the rear panel to A or B to cut down the noise.
* To halt the recording temporarily, press { @/ HI]. Press the
same button again to resume recording. To cancel the
recording, press the tape stop button [ ll ).
* The recording level is’ automatically set and the volume
control and graphic equalizer are not effective.
Recording from a CD (Synchronized recording)
5. With the set in CD stop mode, press [ @/IP] on the remote
control or [REC/PAUSE] on the front
recording. Then the recording indicator “@ " blinks. Press the
same button again to start recording. Then the CD playerandthe
cassette deck starts synchronously, and “CD SYNC” appears:
in the display.
NOTES:
* Atthe end of each CD track, 4-second unrecorded interval is
inserted on the tape.
» During Synchronized recording, if you press the function
related buttons, synchronized recording stop.
* For ordinary recording from a CD, press twice [ @/ IB] on
the remote control or [REC/PAUSE] on the front
panei after you start the CD player. In this case, “CD
SYNC" does not appear in the display.
To stop synchronized recording
6. Press the tape stop button [ll ] on the remote control or on the
front panel.
NOTE: When you press the CD stop button [Ill ] on the remote
controlor! STOP/CLEAR Jonthefrontpanel during synchronized
recording, the CD player stops immediately and the tape deck
becomesrecording stand-by status after havinginserted 4-second
unrecorded interval. To cancel the recording stand-by status,
press the tape stop button [lll ] on the remote control or on the
front panel.
How to erase a tape
7. With the set in TAPE mode, press twice [ @/ IB] on the remote
control or [ REC/PAUSE } on the front panel to start erasing.
8. To stop erasing, press [Ill ] on the remote control or on the front
panel.
HINWEIS: Vor Aufnahmebeginn
Das Cassettendeck ist mit einer Bandumkehrfunktion (Auto reverse)
ausgestattet, weshalb die Bandiaufrichtung automatisch umgekehrt wird,
wenn wahrend der Auinahme das Bandende der Vorderseite erreicht
wird.Beachten Sie daher foigendes:
* Wenn die Aufnahme zum Bespielen der Cassettenvorderseite in
Vorwérisrichtung (>) gestartet wird, kehrt das Laufwerk die
Bandiaufrichtung am.Bandende um und setzt die Aufnahme auf der
anderen Seite fort. Falis Sie wichtige Aufnahme auf einer der
Cassettenseiten vor versehentlichem Léschen schiitzen méchten,
brechen Sie die zugehdrige Léschschutzzunge am Cassettenriicken
heraus.
+ Wenn Sie die Aufnahme zum Bespielen der Cassettenriickseite in
Rickwartsrichtung (f), wird nur diesa gine Seite bespielt.
* Zum Aufnehmen von einer anderen tonquelle als TAPE mu@3 sich das
TAPE 1-Laulwerk in Stopp-Betrebszustand befiriden, da das TAPE 2-
‘Laufwerk andemfalls den TAPE 1-Ton anfzeichnet.
GRUNDLEGENDER BETRIEB:
Einschalten der Anlage
1. Driicken Sie [ POWER ] auf der Fembedienung oder | POWER ON/
‘STANDBY ] an der Frontplatte.
Einlegen einer Cassette in TAPE 2
2a. Zum Bespielen beider Cassettenseiten: Driicken Sie [> ] an der
Fembedienung oder[ > ] an der Frontplatte, um Vorwartsrichtung 2u
wahlen, Legen Sie die Cassette damm so ein, daB Seite Anach auen
waist,
2b. Zum Bespielen einer Cassettenseite: Driicken Sie [<4] an cdf.
Fembedienungoder| <I JanderFrontplatte, um Rickwartsrichtung zu
wahlen. Legen Sie die Cassette dann so ein, daB die zu bespielende
Seite nach innen weist.
TIP: AutomatischerBandsortenwahler erkenntdie Bandsorte dersingelegten
Cassette (Normale oder CrO2) automatisch und stellt das jeweilige
Deck auf die optimale Bias-Position fiir Autnahme bzw. Wiedergabe
ein.
Einstellen des Dolby-Rauschunterdriickungsschalters
3. Stellen Sie [ DOLBY NR = ON J OFF ] wunschgemai3 auf ON oder
OFF.
Vorbereiten der Aufnahmequelle (TUNER, CD oder AUX)
Siehe Seite 14 fr TUNER, Seite 18 fiir CD und Seite 34 fir AUX,
‘Sterten der Aufnahme
4, Driicken Sie [ @/M] auf der Fermbedienung oder | REC/PAUSE }
ander Frontplatte, um das Cassettendeck in Aufnahmebereitschaft zu
setzen. Dann blinkt die Aufnahme-Anzeige "@ ". Driickan Sie die
gleiche Taste noch einmal, um die Aufnahme zu starten.
HINWEISE:
* Wenn bei der Autnahme Intererenzstérungen auttreten, stellen Sie
den RIF-Wahischalter an der Geraterdickseite aut A oder B, so daB
die Stérungen minimal werden,
* Dricken Sie [@/ II], um die Aufnahme zeitweilig zu unterbrachen.
Drucken Sie die gleiche Taste noch einmal, um die Aufnahme
fortzusetzen. Dricken Sie die Stopptaste [ ll ]des Cassettendecks,
um die Aufnahme zu stoppen,
* DasAufnahme-Level wird automatisch gewahlt. Lautstarkereglar
und Graphic Equalizer sind ohne Wirkung,
Aufnahme von einer CD (synchronisierte Autnahme)
5. Driicken Sie [ @/M] auf der Fembedienung oder { REC/PAUSE }
an der Frontplatte wahrend sich der CD-Spieler im Stopp-Modus
befindet, urn ihn in Betriebsbereitschaft zu setzen. Dann blinkt die
Aufnahme-Anzeige " @ ”. Driicken Sie die gleiche Taste noch einmal,
um die Aufnahme zu starten. CD-Spieler und Cassettendeck faufen
nunsynchronisiertan, und" CD SYNC "wird aufdem Display angezeigt.
* AmEndejedes CD-Titels, wird eine 4 Sekunden lange Leerstetle aut
das Band mit aufgenommen.
* Wenn Sie wahrend der Synchroautnahme eine Funktionstaste
betatigen, stoppt die Synchroauinahme.
+ Firnormale Autnahme von einer CD betatigen Sie [ @/I | an der
Fernbedienung oder [REC/PAUSE] an der Frontplatte zweimal,
nachdem Sie den CD-Player gestartet haben. In diesem Fall
erschein “CD SYNC " nicht im Display.
‘Stoppen der synchronisierten Aufnahme
6. Drlicken Sie die Stopptaste des Cassettendecks [Mt] auf der
Fembedienung oder an der Frontplatte.
HINWEIS: Wenn Sie wahrend der synchronisierten Autnahme die
‘Stopptaste des CD-Spielers [ lf | aul der Fembedienung oder [ STOP/
CLEAR Jan der Frontplatte driicken, stoppt der CD-Spieler sofort und
das Cassetiendeck setzt sich in Auinahmebereitschaft, nachdem eine
4 Seiuunden lange Leerstolle eingesetzt worden ist. Driicken Sie die
Stopptaste des Cassettendecks {ll aut der Femibedienung oder an
der Frontpiatie, um die Aufnahmebereitschaft aufzuheben.
Léschen eines Cassettenbandes
7. Dricken Sie zweimal [@/It] auf der Fembedienung oder [ REC/
PAUSE] an der Frontplatte, um mit dem Léschen zu beginnen.
8. Driicken Sie [] auf der Fembedienung oder an der Frontplatte, um
das Loschen zu beenden. 97
