Getting Started Connections Troubleshooting Speci cations
• The sound to be recorded can be heard by selecting the playback
source with INPUT SELECTOR, while the recorded sound can be
heard by selecting the recorder.
• When performing these operations, also refer to the operating
instructions of the other devices.

Operation
Preparations Prior to Playing

Set the volume to the minimum by using VOLUME.

Set <SOURCE DIRECT> and <LOUDNESS> to
“OFF”.

Set <BASS>, <TREBLE> and <BALANCE> to the
center position.

Press <SPEAKERS> A or B depending on the terminals
to which speakers are connected.

Turn on the power by pressing POWER.
The power indicator blinks red for several seconds, then lights
green.
Starting Playback

Use INPUT SELECTOR to select the source to be
played.
The input indicator for the selected source lights.

Play the selected source.

Adjust the volume by using VOLUME.

Adjust the tone with <BASS>, <TREBLE>, <BALANCE>
and <LOUDNESS>.
b If there is no need to adjust the tone, press <SOURCE DIRECT>.
Starting Recording

Turn <REC OUT SELECTOR> to select the source to be
recorded.

Set the recorder to the record mode.

Start playing the source to be recorded.

Turn <REC OUT SELECTOR> and select “RECORDER-
1 1 2” (or “RECORDER-2 1 1”).

b When copying from a device connected to the “RECORDER-1”
terminal to a device connected to the “RECORDER-2” terminal,
select “RECORDER-1 1 2”.
b When copying from a device connected to the “RECORDER-2”
terminal to a device connected to the “RECORDER-1” terminal,
select “RECORDER-2 1 1”.

Set the device connected to the RECORDER-1 (or
RECORDER-2) terminal to the record mode.

Start playback on the device connected to the
RECORDER-2 (or RECORDER-1) terminal.
