This document describes the Denver BTN-207 Bluetooth Active Noise Cancelling Headset, a device designed for hands-free communication and music listening.

Function Description

The Denver BTN-207 is a Bluetooth headset equipped with Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) functionality. It allows users to make and receive calls wirelessly from a compatible mobile phone and listen to music from any compatible Bluetooth device. The headset supports various Bluetooth profiles including Headset Profile (HSP) V1.6, Hands-free Profile (HFP) V1.5, Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) V1.0, and Audio Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP) V1.4.

The ANC feature helps to reduce ambient noise, enhancing the listening experience. This feature can be activated or deactivated independently of the wireless connection, meaning it can be used in both wired and wireless modes.

In addition to its wireless capabilities, the headset can also be used in a passive (wired) mode. This allows users to connect the headset directly to an MP3 player or other audio source using a 3.5mm audio cable, conserving battery life. Inserting the audio cable automatically disables the wireless functionality.

The headset includes a built-in microphone for hands-free calling. It also features controls for volume adjustment, track selection (next/previous song), and call management (answer, reject, end call, redial last number).

Usage Features

Powering On/Off: To switch the headset on or off, press and hold the Multi-Function Button (MFB) for approximately 3 seconds.

Bluetooth Pairing:

Ensure your phone or Bluetooth device is switched on.
Switch on the headset. If it hasn't been previously paired, it will automatically enter pairing mode, indicated by a quickly flashing blue indicator light. If it has been paired before, ensure the previously paired device is switched off.
Activate the Bluetooth feature on your phone or device and set it to search for Bluetooth devices.
Select "Denver BTN-207" from the list of found devices.
Once successfully connected, the blue light will turn to continuous lighting. The headset will automatically reconnect to the last paired device if it's powered on and within range. Otherwise, it will enter standby mode with a continuously blue light.

Active Noise Cancelling (ANC):

To turn ANC on: Hold the ANC button for 1 second. A green LED light will illuminate. ANC is available in both wired and wireless conditions.
To turn ANC off: Hold the ANC button for 1 second. The green LED light will turn off. ANC must be manually switched off.

Charging the Battery: The headset comes with a Micro USB cable. Connect the Micro USB end to the charger connector under the right ear-cap of the headphone. Plug the other end into a USB port on a computer or other USB charging device. The indicator light will be red during charging and will turn off once fully charged. A full charge takes approximately 3 hours for an empty battery.

Making and Receiving Calls:

To make a call: Use your mobile phone in the normal way when the headset is connected. To redial the last number in the call list, quickly press the MFB twice.
To answer a call: When a phone call comes in, quickly press the MFB.
To reject a call: Long press the MFB for about 1.5 seconds.
To end a call: Short press the MFB during a call.

Listening to Music:

Connect the headset to a phone or compatible Bluetooth device that supports the A2DP Bluetooth profile.
To play a song: Select the song in your music player and press the Play/Pause key on the headset.
To pause or resume: Press the Play/Pause key.
To select the next song: Press and hold the volume up key.
To select the previous song: Press and hold the volume down key.
To increase volume: Quickly press the volume up key. A warning tone will sound when maximum volume is reached.
To decrease volume: Quickly press the volume down key (until mute). If a call is received or made while listening to music, the music will pause until the call ends.

Disconnecting and Reconnecting:

To disconnect: Switch off the headset or disconnect it via the Bluetooth menu on your device.
To reconnect: Switch on the headset or initiate the connection from the Bluetooth menu on your device.

Passive Mode: To use the headset as a wired headphone, connect one end of the 3.5-3.5 audio cable to the bottom of the left ear cup and the other end to your MP3 player. This disables wireless functionality and saves battery.

Maintenance Features

Storage: When not in use for a long time, turn off the headset and place it in its box to prevent damage, scratches, or bracket deformation.

Battery Care: To prolong battery service life, charge the headset every 6 months, even if it hasn't been used. If the headset has been left unused for a long time, charge it before first use. The battery is original and should not be replaced by the user.

Environmental Conditions: Keep the headset in a dry place. Do not expose the product to temperatures exceeding 60°C or to fire, as this could lead to a battery explosion.

Physical Handling: Avoid bending or twisting the bracket to prevent deformation. Do not tear down the ear-cushions unless performed by a professional.

Volume Adjustment: Avoid adjusting the volume to a very high level for prolonged periods. If tinnitus occurs, reduce the volume or stop playing. Do not suddenly increase the volume; instead, slowly turn it up to prevent hearing damage.

Safety Precautions: Do not use the headset in dangerous places or where the inability to hear outside sounds could pose a risk.

Low Battery Warning: When the battery voltage drops below 3.0V, a warning beep will sound every 60 seconds. If the battery voltage falls below 2.9V, the headset will automatically power off to protect the battery.

Disposal Information: Electric and electronic equipment, including batteries, contain materials that can be hazardous to health and the environment if not handled correctly. The headset and its batteries are marked with a crossed-out trash can symbol, indicating they should not be disposed of with household waste. Instead, they must be disposed of separately at designated collection points. Users are encouraged to submit used batteries to appropriate facilities to ensure recycling in accordance with regulations and to prevent environmental harm. Collection points for electric and electronic equipment and batteries are available in all cities, either free of charge at recycling stations or other collection sites, or through household collection services.
