Function Description:

Usage Features:
- Power On/Off: Press and hold the On/Off button (6) for 3 seconds until a confirmation beep is heard.
- Volume Adjustment: Use the Up button (4) to increase volume and the Down button (7) to decrease volume. The volume level indicator (3) is displayed on the LCD.
- Battery Level Indication: The battery icon on the LCD screen shows the charge level (full, 2/3, 1/3, empty). A flashing icon and beep indicate low battery.
- Receiving/Transmitting: The device is in "Reception" mode when lit up. Press the TALK button (15) to transmit a voice message, speaking into the microphone (10) at least 5 cm away. Release the button when finished. For other devices to receive, they must be on the same channel and CTCSS code.
- Changing Channels: Press the MENU button (11) once, then use the Up (4) or Down (7) buttons to select a channel. Confirm with the TALK button (15).
- CTCSS (Continuous Tone-Coded Squelch System): Press the MENU button (11) twice, then use the Up (4) or Down (7) buttons to select a CTCSS code. Confirm with the TALK button (15). To disable CTCSS, select "OF".
- Monitor Function: Press and hold the MON button (5) to check for weaker signals on the current channel. Release to disable. During monitoring, CTCSS codes are ignored.
- VOX (Voice-Activated Transmission): Press the MENU button (11) three times. Use the Up button (4) to set sensitivity (levels 1-3, 3 being most sensitive) or the Down button (7) to turn VOX off ("OF"). Confirm with the TALK button (15). VOX is overridden when the TALK button (15) is pressed.
- Scanning: Press the SCAN button (21) to activate channel scanning. The "Scan" indicator (17) will appear, and the device will continuously scan channels. Scanning stops when an active channel is found, allowing listening. It resumes automatically when transmission stops. Pressing TALK (15) during listening will return the radio to standby on that channel.
- Call Tones: The Twintalker has 10 call tones. To set, press the MENU button (11) four times ("CA" displayed), then use the Up (4) or Down (7) buttons to select a tone. Confirm with TALK (15). To send a call tone, briefly press the CALL button (12).
- Key Tone On/Off: To set, press the MENU button (11) five times ("to" displayed). Use the Up button to enable (ON) or Down button to disable (OF) key tones. Confirm with TALK (15).
- Roger Beep On/Off: To set, press the MENU button (11) six times ("rO" displayed). Use the Up button to enable (ON) or Down button to disable (OF) the roger beep. Confirm with TALK (15). The roger beep confirms when you stop talking.
- Button Lock: Press and hold the MENU button (11) for two seconds to activate/deactivate button lock. The button lock icon appears on the LCD. PTT (15), Call (12), MON (5), Lamp (20), and On/Off (6) buttons remain functional.
- Display Backlight: Press any button (except On/Off) to activate the LCD backlight for 5 seconds.
- Earpiece Connection: Insert the 2.5 mm jack of the included earpiece into the connector (8) on the upper side. The small button on the earpiece functions as the TALK button (15). When using the earpiece's TALK button, use its microphone.
- Built-in Flashlight: Use the Lamp button (20) to activate the flashlight (22) for light signals or illumination.
Maintenance Features:
- Battery Installation: Remove the belt attachment clip (23) and lift the belt attachment (24). Open the battery compartment (26) and insert AAA batteries (25), ensuring correct polarity. Close the lid.
- Battery Saving Function: The device automatically enters economy mode after a period of inactivity to save battery life. This does not affect message reception, and standard mode is reactivated upon signal detection.
- General Safety:
