4- OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
4.3 - Demo Mode
If your Dermapen 4™ is running in Demo Mode (such as a Dermapen 4™ supplied for
demonstration or evaluation purposes), it will operate for the specifi ed demonstration time
period only. Once the Demo Mode time period has elapsed, the Dermapen 4™ will display a
“Too long since last sync” error and cease operation. Contact your Dermapen 4™ representative
to request a demonstration extension or to purchase the device.
4.4 - Scar Treatment (ST) Mode
• When the depth is set to 3mm, the Depth Indication Digits will display “ST” and the
motor speed will automatically be adjusted, the speed Indication Ring will pulse on the
lower setting.
• The speed cannot be adjusted in Scar Treatment (ST) mode.
4.5 - Powering o the Dermapen 4
TM
• Press and hold the Primary Button for 3 seconds until Display and Status LED go blank.
• The Dermapen
4™
can be powered o at any time, except during a Bluetooth sync
warning, or during Test Mode.
• If the Dermapen
4™
is inactive for more than 2 minutes, it will power o automatically.

5 - INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
5.1 - Installing a Needle Cartridge
1. Insert the drive ball end of the Cartridge into the
Dermapen 4™
.
2. Turn Cartridge a quarter-turn clockwise to securely lock it in place.
3. Keep the protective cap in place until immediately before treatment.
A Cartridge can be installed while the
Dermapen 4™
is powered on or o , however, the
needling motor will not run without a Needle Cartridge installed.
If the Needle Cartridge is not installed properly, the LCD screen will display the Cartridge
symbol fl ashing on and o . The Dermapen 4™ will not operate until the Cartridge is installed
correctly.
Only install a genuine Dermapen 4™ Cartridge at all times. Installation of any other Cartridge
will risk damage to the Dermapen 4™ and possible voiding of warranty.
Warning: Non-genuine cartridges could lead to personal injury.
