fitting the pAck And
fine-tuning the cArry position:
The Shield System protector can only deliver the specified protec-
tion when correctly positioned. Please ensure that it does not slip
out of position. [see illustration on inside front cover

First, loosen all the adjuster straps. Shoulder the rucksack, position the
waist belt, then fasten and adjust it to give a snug fit.
The mid-point of the waist belt should lie on the hip bone and not above
or below the hip, since this would impair the freedom of movement.

The back pad should be positioned vertically and in the centre of the
back.

The shoulder strap, chest strap and waist belt must be adjusted for a snug
fit in order to provide a comfortable and compact carry.
To offer maximum protection the shield system should be worn correctly.

importAnt sAfety tips:
The rucksack is not positioned centrally or is too high/low on the back.
Shoulder straps, chest strap and waist belt are not fastened/ not snugly
adjusted. [see illustration on inside front cover

Sharp objects such as: Screwdrivers, tool and other sharp objects can
affect the protection function.
Glass bottles, potentially explosive items (such as pressurised containers
and gas cartridges) and easily inflammable or corrosive substances also
have a potentially negative effect on the protective system.
All straps and buckles should be securely fastened when the rucksack is in
use.
