WARNING: Never attempt to lock a switch or bail
handle in the ONposition.
NOTE: Once the bail handle has returned to the original
position it will activate the “Automatic Braking Mechanism”.
The motor is mechanically braked and the mower blade will
stop rotating in three seconds orless.

Mower Overload
To prevent damage due to overload conditions, do not try
to remove too much grass at one time. Slow down your
cutting pace, or raise the cutheight.
Storage (Fig. A, M)

DANGER: Rotating blade can cause serious injury.
Release bail handle

to turn mower off, remove
safety key, and remove batteries before lifting,
transporting, or storing the mower. Store in a
dryplace.

CAUTION: Pinch point. To avoid being pinched, keep
fingers away from area around lower handle brackets
and upper handle knobs when folding downhandles.

CAUTION: Make sure cord does not become stretched
or pinched in the area between the lower handle and
lower handle brackets, and in the area between the
lower and upper handle near the upper handle knobs
during folding. This can cause damage to thecord.
The handle of the mower can be easily folded for quick and
convenientstorage.
1. To unlock the lower handle

, and twist a quarter turn,
the two lower handle locks

located on both sides of
the lower handle.
2. Fold the handle to the front of the mower as shown in
Fig.M.
3. Locate the lower handle storage detent hole

located on front of each lower handle bracket

4. Lock the lower handle in place by twisting the lower
handle locks

Carrying the Mower (Fig. A, N)
