ERROR CODES
The GAC 2100 contains a microprocessor to control the grain sample
measurements and self-checks to determine the integrity of the internal
electronics. If any limit is exceeded or malfunctions occur, an error code
displays.

Corrective Action
1 The empty cell self-check reading is out of limits. Dump the cell and verify it is empty.
2 The empty cell weight reading is out of limits. Dump the cell and verify it is empty.
3 The unload mechanism has malfunctioned. Check the cell position and verify it is free to operate.
4 The strike-off mechanism has malfunctioned. Check drawer and press the Unload key. Verify the cell and
strike-off arm are free to operate.
5 An invalid calibration is referenced. Reselect the same grain or select a new grain and retry. If the
condition continues to occur, contact a DICKEY-john
representative for assistance.
6 The moisture reading exceeds the upper limit. Select a new grain and retry.
7 The moisture reading exceeds the lower limit. Select a new grain and retry.
8 The empty cell ambient temperature has
exceeded its limit.
Allow the GAC 2100 to reach normal operating temperature.
9 The sample temperature exceeds its limit. Allow the sample to either cool down or warm up, then retry.
10 The difference in temperature between empty cell
ambient and full cell condition exceeds its limits.
Change the appropriate conditions and retry.
11 Test weight exceeds stored average bulk density
value by more than +20 percent or -30 percent.
Use a more representative sample.
12 A system memory error occurred. Turn the power OFF for at least 5 seconds; power system ON. If
the condition continues, contact a DICKEY-john representative.
13 An onboard RAM memory error has occurred. Turn the power OFF for at least 5 seconds; turn power system
ON. If the condition continues, contact a DICKEY-john
representative for assistance.
14 NOT USED
15 The real-time clock battery is faulty. Contact a DICKEY-john representative for assistance.
