Mobile Information
The information in this section varies by cellular module type.
GSM networks
For GSM networks, the Mobile Information section can have the following items.
SIM Status
This indicates whether or not a valid SIM card has been installed in the router. It may be one of
the following
READY: SIM is OK.
SIM PIN: PIN number required.
SIM PUK: SIM blocked (unblocking code required).
ERROR: SIM is not installed or is faulty.
Signal strength
The signal strength in dBm being received by the mobile module. The range is -113dBm (min) to
-51dBm (max). The signal strength bars should match the Signal Strength LEDs on the front of
the router.
Radio technology
The current network technology in use. It may be one of the following
GSM
GPRS
EDGE
UMTS
HSDPA
HSUPA
CDMA
Signal quality
A measure of the signal level of the cellular network, measured in dB.
Radio band
The radio band on which the cellular modem is operating.
Channel
The radio channel on which the cellular modem is operating.
