To disable checking for software updates
automatically:
 In the Software Update dialog, select the
Do Not Check For Updates Automatically option.
To enable checking for software updates
automatically:
1 Check for updates manually (Help > Check For
Updates).
2 In the Software Update dialog, deselect the
Do Not Check For Updates Automatically option.
