Prepare Drilling Unit
AT Mode
• Verify unit has not been converted to JT mode. Ensure All Terrain saver sub, shuttle stop, roller, and
roller pin are installed.
• Inspect Rockmaster
®
tool and select bit based on jobsite conditions.
• Use appropriate anchors for jobsite conditions.
• Load All Terrain pipe and pipe box onto unit.
• Move mode selector switch to AT position.
AT Dirt Mode
• Verify unit has not been converted to JT mode. Ensure All Terrain saver sub, shuttle stop, roller, and
roller pin are installed.
• Use transition sub (p/n 400-1383) between All Terrain pipe and beacon housing. Select soil bit based
on jobsite conditions.
• Use appropriate anchors for jobsite conditions.
• Load All Terrain pipe and pipe box onto unit.
• Move mode selector switch to AT DIRT position.
