The Compex ION is a vibrating massage roller designed to provide relief from sore or stiff muscles by targeting deep layers of tissue. Crafted from industrial-grade material, this roller is built for heavy-duty use, ensuring it maintains its shape even under significant weight. Its exterior features a polyurethane finish that gives it a rubber-like feel, complemented by a textured surface for a solid grip during use across various body areas.
The device offers four distinct vibration speeds, allowing users to customize the intensity of their massage to meet specific recovery needs. To power the device on or off, users simply press and hold the power button for three seconds until the power indicator light illuminates or turns off. The speed levels are clearly indicated by green lights: one light for Speed 1 (1900 RPM), two lights for Speed 2 (2900 RPM), three lights for Speed 3 (3200 RPM), and four lights for Speed 4 (4320 RPM). These speed indicators work in conjunction with four power indicating lights that illuminate to show the battery life, ranging from 25%, 50%, 75%, to 100%.
The Compex ION is portable and can be easily recharged using a micro USB charger. For optimal battery health, it is recommended not to let the battery deplete below 20% for extended periods. Users should fully charge the device to prevent battery discharge if the battery life drops below 25%. During charging, four LED lights will flash, indicating the charging progress. As the battery charges, these LED lights will turn on sequentially. Once all four LED lights are on, the battery is fully charged, and the adapter's indicator light will turn green. A red indicator light signifies that the device is charging, while a green light confirms a full charge. The device cannot be used while it is charging. It is crucial to use only the provided adapter to avoid damaging the battery and to ensure safety. A full charge typically takes between 1.5 to 2 hours. In each operational mode, the device is programmed to automatically turn off after 15 minutes of continuous use, promoting safe and controlled usage sessions.
Safety is a paramount concern with the Compex ION. It is intended for use by adults aged 21 and over, either independently or with assistance. Users should immediately stop using the device if they experience any pain or discomfort. Direct contact with the head and other bony areas should be avoided. For any specific body part, the device should not be used for more than one minute; it should be kept moving over muscles and away from bony structures. Users must also be careful to avoid placing fingers, hands, or hair near the ball/shaft section of the Ion™. The device should not be dropped, immersed in water, sand, or loose debris that could enter the motor housing vent. Users should never attempt to remove screws or disassemble the device. This appliance contains non-replaceable batteries.
Users may experience skin irritation and mild bruising if the Ion™ is used in one spot for more than 60 seconds or over bony areas. Individuals recovering from surgery, or those with skin conditions, wounds, nerve conditions, broken bones, or contusions, may be more susceptible to adverse reactions. In such cases, or if any adverse reactions occur, users should consult a doctor before continuing to use the Ion™.
There are several contraindications for using the Compex ION. It should not be used without prior approval from a physician if any of the following conditions apply: recent surgeries of any kind, skin conditions or wounds affected by vibrating massagers, herniated disks, pregnancy, diabetes/neuropathy or retinal damage, the presence of pacemakers, injuries affected by vibrating massagers, epilepsy or migraines, disc herniation, spondylolisthesis, vertebral detachment or spine joint rigidity, recent replacement of joints or IUD, the presence of metal pins or metal plates, or any other health-related diseases. This appliance is not intended for use by persons, including children, with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or a lack of experience and knowledge, unless they are supervised or instructed on its use by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance. The appliance must only be used with the specified power supply unit, model ICP15A-050-2000B. For recharging the battery, only the detachable supply unit provided with the appliance should be used.
