This feature can be extremely valuable when bottom fishing. A very
common situation is when fish gathers at an edge on the bottom e.g. the edge
of the continental shelf. If the boat is drifting from the shallow water into
deep water then the depth changes rapidly and if the distance to the bottom
isn’t checked frequently then the reel would be jigging far away from the
bottom most of the time.

WAITING TIME
When the value of the waiting time parameter is not at zero the drum comes
to a stop after each jigging action and it stays that way until the waiting time
has elapsed (see Figure 9 on page 19). The reel will then perform one jigging
motion and wait again. Each time it jigs upwards it checks if there is fish on
