5.2 Setting the cutting height
Important! Adjust the cutting height only
when the engine is switched o.

fasteners are damaged. To prevent any
imbalance, replace blunt and/or damaged blades
as a set only (if applicable). To carry out this
check, rst switch o the engine and pull the
spark plug boot.

6. Operation
Important!
The engine does not come with oil in it.
Therefore, ensure that you add 0.6 liters of oil
before starting it up. Use normal, multigrade
oil (15W40). The oil level in the engine must
be checked each time before mowing. (see
Checking the oil level).
In order to avoid any unintentional start-ups
of the lawn mower, it comes equipped with an
engine brake (Fig. 11/Item A) which must be
pulled back before the engine can be started.
When the engine control lever is released it must
return to its initial position, at which point the
engine automatically switches o.
Before you start mowing, you should run through
this operation several times in order to ensure
that the machine is working properly.
Whenever you need to perform any kind of
adjustment and/or repair work on your lawn
mower, wait until the blade has come to a

Assembling the mower
1. Take the mower and attachment parts out
of the packaging and check that all parts are
present (Fig. 2-3).
2. Attach the lower push bar (Fig. 4/Item 15) to
the mower housing using the screws (Fig. 3/
Item 16) and the nuts (Fig. 3/Item 17). Attach the
upper push bar (Fig. 5/Item 11) to the lower push
bar using the screws (Fig. 3/Item 18) and the star
nuts (Fig. 3/Item 19). Do not forget to mount the
starter cord guide (Fig. 5/Item 20). Now hook in
the Bowden wire for the motor stop and the
Bowden wire for the drive unit (Fig. 6/7).
Unhook the lever to make it easier to attach the
Bowden wires.
3. Then hook the starter cord in the starter cord
guide (Fig. 8)
4. Fasten the cable holder to the push bar (Fig. 9)
with the screw (Fig. 5/Item 13).
5. Fasten the cords to the push bar with one of
the cable ties (Fig. 3/Item 14), as shown in Fig. 10.
6. Lift the ejector ap with one hand and hook
the grass basket into the mounts on the housing
(Fig.13)
Mulching (Fig. 23)
In the mulching mode the cuttings are shredded
in the enclosed mower housing and then spread
back onto the lawn. It is not necessary to gather
and dispose of the grass.
Important: Mulching is only possible if the lawn is
relatively short.
