All vehicle numbers contain ten digits. The vehicle number is a code which
tells the make of car (1st digit), model of car (2nd digit), year built (3rd
digit),
assembly plant (4th digit) and vehicle serial number (last six digits).

BODY NUMBER LOCATION The body number
is
stamped
on
a
plate which
is
attached
to the
left
or
right side of
the engine side
of the
dash,
or on
front
of
radiator yoke.
